The Cloud Stone is the first volume in the Crystal Dragon saga, written by Grégoire F. Praz, a Swiss art historian and journalist. I have been studying Taoism for over 20 years, notably in Taiwan. I am the author of the Asian fantasy saga Dragon de Cristal. The first volume, La Pierre de Nuages, is set in Taitung in the 19th century, during the Japanese invasion. This initiatory tale explores the themes of ancestral wisdom, the balance between yin and yang, and Taoist internal alchemy. Writing has been part of my daily life for over 30 years. Like art in general, it has become essential to my life balance.
I decided to write this Asian fantasy saga to pass on to the West legends received orally from Innyang E.H. Low, an international artist of Asian origin. I’m currently working on the last two volumes, whose narrative moves between Egypt and ancient Greece, as well as on a book of mediumistic messages received from the world beyond.
My Story
Asian fantasy and heroic fantasy saga. It tells the story of the initiative journey of Ming-chong, a fifteen-year-old Taiwanese fighter, and his aboriginal ally Liliu, who inherited half of the Cloud Stone. The fusion of the two powers opens the door to the dragon Longwang, protector of their quest for the pearl of light. The shadow of the secret society, the Black Path, hangs over Taiwan and their destiny. Can they face it?
The saga explores the themes of ancestral wisdom, the balance between yin and yang, and internal Taoist alchemy.
Volume 2 takes place between Orchid Island, Egypt and Greece. Jack Landon, a new character, plays an American journalist. The theme will be the Mother Goddess and the question of patriarchy.
Volume 3 takes place in the near future, where technology is jeopardising the alchemical quest.
